About us
The church at Phil Campbell is a congregation of the Lord's body that meets at 1194 Pike Avenue in Phil Campbell, Alabama. Thanks for stopping by our website - we hope to meet you in person soon!
While we teach the doctrine of Christ, we also seek to create a friendly environment within our congregation that is conducive to learning and personal growth. We stand for truth while also caring about the ongoing spiritual needs of one another.
Our work is to teach and spread the Gospel to the lost as well as to edify and exhort one another to good works. We hope that if you are looking for a place to worship God in spirit and in truth and want to feel welcome while you do so, you will come and join us in song, prayer, and in the study of God's holy Word. We hope you'll let us get to know you and come back each time we meet!
We seek to follow the example of the New Testament church by:

meeting on the first day of the week to observe the Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7) and giving of our means
(1 Corinthians 16:2) cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7)

singing with the spirit to God (1 Corinthians 14:15) with melody in our hearts (Ephesians 5:19); praying with the spirit; preaching the Word and declaring the whole Gospel

using the power of the Gospel (Romans 1:16) to teach others and not relying on the "social" gospel

developing future leaders for the church (elders, deacons, evangelists, teachers)

putting faith in the doctrine of Christ (1 Timothy 4:6) instead of in the creeds of man

honoring Christ as our head and recognizing His authority to rule the church
